Steven Pon
After graduating from the Colorado School of Mines with an Engineering degree and then pursuing a Master in Computer Science at DU, I had a long career in Information Technology (IT) and Data Centers. Since relocating to Southwestern Colorado several years ago, I’ve focused on property renovation and hands-on technical projects, deepening my understanding of residential construction, materials, and common issues found in homes of all ages. I continued my quest for knowledge by acquiring the following certifications: Home Inspection, HVAC, Solar Install, and Radon.
With over 25 years of experience designing and evaluating complex systems, I bring a disciplined, detail-driven approach to home inspection. My professional background spans enterprise data centers, IT, consulting, and hands-on property renovation—giving me a unique ability to assess how systems are built, how they fail, and how to document findings clearly and accurately.
Throughout my career as a solution architect and client advisor, I was responsible for evaluating large-scale infrastructure, identifying risks, and ensuring long-term reliability. That same systems-focused mindset now applies to inspecting homes: understanding how electrical, structural, mechanical, and building components work together—and where issues are most likely to arise.
I’m known for being thorough, methodical, and practical. My inspections emphasize accuracy, clear communication, and helping clients understand not just what I find, but why it matters—so they can make informed, confident decisions.
